4. Volunteer Activities

   Jeffco Fairgrounds occasionally needs volunteers during emergencies. Some volunteer duties can include: building and tearing down stalls, mucking stalls, and administrative duties including answering the phones and assisting with returning voicemails.

   Jeffco Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Jefferson County Animal Response Team, can also utilize volunteers to assist with animal intake and care. This area of volunteering requires specialized training that must be completed prior to an emergency event. If you are interested in volunteering with the animals, please indicate this in the "Type of Volunteer Opportunity You Are Interested In" section below and your contact information will be passed on to Jeffco Sheriff's Office.  

   Jeffco Fairgrounds Volunteer Requirements:

   • Must be 18 years of age or older.
   • Each volunteer must sign a waiver and may be subject to additional screening.
