What if I bought my car from a private party and I need a temporary tag?

If you need to use your vehicle, please have with you the title, bill of sale, and insurance for your newly purchased vehicle and make an appointment by visiting our appointments page. Please note that, if we are closed, you are only permitted to operate the vehicle for up to 36 hours from the time of sale (with the above paperwork in hand). After 36 hours, you need to have the vehicle registered in your name to operate it.
