What will be the effect of the mobile home property tax exemption?

House Bill 22-1223 — signed into law by Gov. Jared Polis in June 2022 — will give mobile homeowners, which includes manufactured homes, an exemption from property taxes if their residence is worth $28,000 or less. Under current legislation, property owners with mobile/manufactured homes worth more than $28,000 will need to pay taxes on their property.
