Description: JCMH offers Social Detox and crisis services. The Withdrawal Management program operates 24/7/365 and is designed to serve individuals who are intoxicated or under the influence of other drugs and/or who are experiencing moderate to severe withdrawal symptoms and in need of 24-hour supervision, observation, and support as they progress through their withdrawal. 

Brief Admission Criteria

  • 18 years or older.
  • Intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs or in withdrawal from substances.
  • Must not require medical care while they withdraw.
  • Must be mobile and able to provide for their own personal care.
  • Individuals should not be physically violent.

PRIMARY GOALS OF THE WITHDRAWAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ARE TO:

  1. Monitor patients as they safely withdraw from drugs and/or alcohol
  2. Assist in increasing motivation for change so that ongoing recovery is possible
  3. Actively link patients to the services for ongoing care
  4. Provide a safety net for the community

Program Timeline: 

  • Patients are discharged when no withdrawal symptoms are present and the blood alcohol level is at .000.
  • The severity and length of the withdrawal process depends on many factors, and generally extends from 12 hours to three days.
