Description: Deaf Overcoming Violence through Empowerment (DOVE) provides advocacy services to Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and Hard of Hearing (DDBDDHH) victims of domestic violence (DV) and sexual assault (SA) in the entire state of Colorado since 2000. DOVE’s mission is to provide culturally accessible services that empower and offer hope to Deaf and hard of hearing individuals who experience abuse. DOVE offers our services to DDBDDHH primary and secondary victims of DV and SA via 24-7 crisis support, advocacy, and information and referral. DOVE is committed to changing attitudes that perpetuate violence within the DDBDDHH community through community education, cultural responsiveness training, and collaboration with service providers.
