To limit evictions, foreclosures, and public utility disconnections, Governor Jared Polis has passed an Executive Order with directives and resources available to the public. The Colorado Department of Local Affairs' Division of Housing has launched the Property Owner Preservation program in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, to allocate federal CARES Act funds for rental assistance to landlords on behalf of their tenants. There is an existing network of state agencies that provide homeless prevention services, including rental and mortgage assistance. The Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) has developed an Evictions Resources Map that can be used with 211 Colorado to help renters avoid eviction.
Family Tree Housing and Family Stabilization Services works with individuals and families experiencing homelessness, or those at-risk of homelessness.
