As we enter the season of gratitude Jefferson County has a lot to be thankful for!
We are thankful to be a part of this wonderful community!
We are thankful that we have increased the amount of Foster Homes in Jeffco!
We are thankful for partnerships to meet the needs of our community!
As we celebrate this time of year, we must not forget those who are less fortunate than us. Together we can make our community a place where everyone can thrive.
This Thursday we will have the opportunity to hear from one of our critical partners that is helping to keep individuals alive during nights of Severe Weather. The Severe Weather Shelter Network cannot operate without the support of our community. We celebrate all the faith communities and volunteers who are currently assisting with this effort. Please come learn and explore ways you can get involved!
Homelessness is a complex issue! We are thankful to all our community and partners who helped us put together a month-long comprehensive count to help us gain more knowledge about the needs in our community. This year we had great success with Jeffco’s Homeless Navigator. She will be joining us at the meeting to share some of her successes as well!
Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings. -William Arthur Ward
- WARM Hats and WARM Gloves! We need your help in collecting items to give to individuals experiences homelessness. Individuals have shared that they prefer dark colors and items that do not draw lots of attention.
- Foster Parents/Adoptive Parents
- Birthday Gifts for Seniors (come to our meeting to hear about how next year we plan to make sure all the older adults and seniors in Human Services care can be celebrated for their birthday! Many seniors in our care are only visited by their caseworker and the staff at the facilities where they live.)
