Colorado’s Homeless Contribution Income Tax Credit Program
Non-profit organizations are now able to sign-up to participate in the new Colorado Homeless Contribution Income Tax Credit program! Created by Colorado House Bill 2022-1083 (HB22-1083), the Colorado Homeless Contribution Income Tax Credit provides a tax credit to Colorado taxpayers that contribute to eligible homelessness related projects within Colorado. When taxpayers make a certified contribution, they can claim:
- 25% of their donation (monetary or value of in-kind) as a state income tax credit if contributed to a qualified non-profit organization headquartered in a non-rural community.
- 30% of their donation (monetary or value of in-kind) as a state income tax credit if contributed to a qualified non-profit organization headquartered in a rural community.

This is not the Full PSH Toolkit but rather a 1-day high level overview of what it takes to do supportive housing in Colorado (Nov. 15, 2022) and an opportunity on the 2nd day for a 1:1 (1-hour long with each group) project concept meeting with representatives from BeauxSimone Consulting and DOH (Nov. 16, 2022). . Lakewood Community Outreach Court
The City of Lakewood has launched its first court for residents experiencing homelessness. Unhoused persons that have any open Lakewood Municipal Court cases (except domestic violence, felonies or juvenile cases
) can meet with municipal legal staff to have these cases addressed, fines waived, and/or cases vacated when possible. During this time, service providers will be on site to provide resources for shelter, benefits assistance, mental and physical health, substance misuse, employment and more! Location:

- Jeffco Public Library’s Free Legal Clinic has appointments the first Thursday of each month at the Belmar and Evergreen library.
- Hard Times Writing Workshop with Lighthouse for people experiencing trauma and hardship happens virtually every Wednesday and in person every Thursday at the Belmar Library
- Community Cares Café: Preventing Escalation with Jefferson Center for Mental Health at the Arvada Library on third Wednesdays at 2pm and Belmar Library on second Thursdays at 11am. We will provide food and resources during this free workshop.
Whether you are currently unemployed, under-employed or looking to change jobs, attending these workshops will help you to become fully prepared to secure and advance your career.
