May is Jefferson County Mental Health Month

Last year, the Jefferson County Commissions announced that May will be recognized as Mental Health Month.

The Jefferson Center is a nonprofit, community-focused mental health care and substance use services provider. While 1 in 5 people will experience a mental illness during their lifetime, everyone faces challenges in life that can impact their mental health.

There are practical tools that everyone can use to improve their mental health and increase resiliency - and there are ways that everyone can be supportive of friends, family and co-workers who are struggling with life’s difficulties or their mental health.

Each quarter, Jefferson Center offers a variety of wellness classes to meet the needs of both our clients and the community.

Check out this list of upcoming classes and visit our website to learn more http://ow.ly/AYe450IBaYS
