Jefferson County Board of Health are making changes to the county’s current public health orders The first action taken by the Jefferson County Board of Health on this matter was to rescind PHO 21-005, which required routine testing of unvaccinated local government employees. This rescission was discussed by and voted on by the Jefferson County Board of Health in a special meeting, held virtually, on Jan. 28, 2022, and was effective immediately.
A special Meeting was held Thursday, February 3rd to discuss masking requirements for all individuals in all public, indoor spaces. Starting Feb. 18, the use of masks in all public, indoor settings — including school and childcare settings — will no longer be required in Jefferson County. The Jeffco Board of Health voted to rescind Public Health Order 21-006 yesterday as data in Jeffco shows promising trends.
Denver County's Face Covering order will expired on February 3rd as well. The public health order requiring face coverings indoors, or proof of vaccination in lieu of face coverings, will not be extended. It was initially implemented in November and extended in December.
Denver’s public health order expiration does not impact the federal requirement for face coverings on public transportation, including public transit networks, airplanes, buses, trains, taxis, Ubers and Lyfts. The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) requires face coverings for unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated staff, residents, and visitors in jails, homeless shelters, and emergency medical and other healthcare settings.

WIOA State Plan Modifications Virtual Town HallsThe Colorado Workforce Development Council invites you to attend the Virtual Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, February 15, to discuss modifications to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) State Plan. During the Virtual Town Halls, we will also be eliciting feedback from attendees. Register Here
Every four years, Colorado is required to submit a WIOA State Plan outlining what the State is doing to help its residents, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, find high-quality jobs and careers. The plan also details how the State will help employers hire and retain skilled workers.
Two years after submitting the plan, it must be reviewed and modified to reflect changes in economic conditions and the labor market. We are currently in the modification period: the proposed changes are available on the CWDC website for the public comment period, which runs until February 18. Following the public comment period, the CWDC will incorporate feedback received during this period as well as during the Virtual Town Halls. Following a review process, the modified WIOA State Plan will be submitted to the United States Department of Labor.
