A collaboration of community members and professionals are working to identify supports and resources in Jefferson County communities that may assist parents/caregivers in caring for the children in their home. Your voice is needed as we try to understand and encourage the growth of supports for parents in Jefferson County. The survey is open until July 20, please respond.

Mom Rage in a Pandemic

In September, Minna Dubin wrote an essay for us about a phenomenon she called “mom rage” — the anger and frustration many mothers feel, and that they shove down beneath the surface because “mothers are supposed to be martyr-like in our patience.” She returned to the subject this week, interviewing other moms who are experiencing “unrestrained anger” during the pandemic, when we are being asked to do it all, and be it all.
