Dear JPP,

As a fall out from our drastic life switch, we recognize we are not able to celebrate all of the wonderful accomplishments and achievements JPP families have made this year, in person.  We will not stand for that because you all mean so much to us and this is the reason we do the work we do day in and day out!  This is what makes those tough days easier, and the rainbow appear after the storm.  That said, we would like to honor each of our community members here - in a special edition of the JPP Newsletter - who have achieved, accomplished, graduated, strived for, and reached their goals.  We will have 5 people each week to celebrate who would have otherwise been recognized in this years' Achievement Award Ceremony 2020.  We can't wait to see what you all do next and we want to keep encouraging everyone to keep pushing towards your goals, whether at home or when we meet again in person.  We support you and we know you can do it!  Cheers to more celebrations and more recognition of the hard work you are doing every day.  We see you and we are so proud of you all.  Please read on for Week 2 of celebrations.

Cynthia is ready to spread her wings and soar!

This year has been the beginning of my journey of self discovery and venturing out on my own. I started back to work and also got my own apartment this year. I am excited to see what the future holds for me and my family and I know the possibilities are endless.

Congratulations on getting back to work and on getting your own apartment!

Griselda H.

We celebrate Griselda who is working hard and making moves!

I am very grateful for the following: I have a new place I can call home, I am working towards becoming an OTA at Pima Medical Institute, and I have been able to build up my savings and reducing my debt at the same time.

Congratulations Griselda on working towards your degree, reducing debt and increasing savings!!

Davis Family

Zach and Jamie Davis

The Davis Family has a LOT to celebrate!
This year has been an exciting one for our family. Jamie went back to school and got her CNA. She then got a job working in the field. After a few months, she took a different job which included a pay increase. Zach got a new job which also came with a raise. Our family has continued to work on our budgeting by getting out of debt and increasing our savings. We have increased our credit scores and are now in the process of looking to buy a home!
Congratulations to the Davis family for working so hard to complete goals in SO many of the JPP buckets!! Keep up the great work!

Shavalene T.

We celebrate Shavalene for her perseverance through her classes, despite her new responsibilities!
From Shavalene: It has been a challenging part of life right now as I am sure many people would agree. Even though the world has stopped moving, many of us have not. I am a mother of six children and now that I became their teacher I have had to adapt quickly. I have made the choice to continue with my own schooling. I will not let covid19 or any other obstacle keep me from obtaining financial security. This past week, I passed my lab exam and my lecture exam with a 95%. That's right you heard it an A! We must never stop growing no matter what we are facing. Continue to push forward everyday to be a better version of yourself!
Congratulations Shavalene on your commitment to excellence!

David G.

David G.

David continues to serve out community, through good times and bad!
From David: I met a friend who had a CDL for 25 years, he always had stable income even when the economy crashed in 2008.   I always knew I wanted to have my own business and be financially stable.  Driving a bus is a pretty autonomous job, kind of like being your own boss, so he inspired me to look into this. I started at First Transit with a big RTD bus, but I could not do it.  It was stressful and difficult.  Every day I felt so defeated.  Throughout my struggle, I learned a lot there and no longer felt terrified to drive a bus. I never dreamed I would know how to parallel park a bus correctly and drive backwards through cones, so it helped to build my confidence immensely.  I never thought I would make it through that part but overcame those challenges and learned all the parts of the bus and passed my CDL exam. After leaving First Transit, I applied to MV Transportation and been here for over a year.  I have been recognized many times for my commitment to safe driving and customer service.  I am determined to stay because they have been so supportive and kind, not only the company, but my customers who have called in to say how much they enjoy me too! My plan is to maintain this job for as long as possible.  On the side, I will be writing a book about how every day people can attain enlightenment and also teaching classes via YouTube and Pantheon for people to hear my lectures on enlightenment and finding inner peace.  I want to have stable income and spend time with my kids while they’re young.  I will also be focusing on finances and budgeting.
Great job David on your excellent attitude and commitment to service and spreading your teachings!
