JPP logo

Dear JPP,

As a fall out from our drastic life switch, we recognize we are not able to celebrate all of the wonderful accomplishments and achievements JPP families have made this year, in person.  We will not stand for that because you all mean so much to us and this is the reason we do the work we do day in and day out!  This is what makes those tough days easier, and the rainbow appear after the storm.  That said, we would like to honor each of our community members here - in a special edition of the JPP Newsletter - who have achieved, accomplished, graduated, strived for, and reached their goals.  We will have 5 people each week to celebrate who would have otherwise been recognized in this years' Achievement Award Ceremony 2020.  We can't wait to see what you all do next and we want to keep encouraging everyone to keep pushing towards your goals, whether at home or when we meet again in person.  We support you and we know you can do it!  Cheers to more celebrations and more recognition of the hard work you are doing every day.  We see you and we are so proud of you all.

Raeline

Raeline B.

We celebrate Raeline for her achievement of finding a new job that utilizes her skills as a CNA. Raeline overcame the challenge of not enjoying her place of employment by looking for and applying for another job while staying at her job. She was successful by moving from one job to another without a gap in employment and finding a job that was a better fit and with better pay! Congratulations Raeline!

Danielle U.

Danielle has A LOT to celebrate this year:
Hi my name is Danielle. This year has been a good year. I have been working hard on improving myself, advancing my goals and moving my family forward. It was a challenge, but I was able to work hard and pay off half of my student loans. I have also started researching career options with the help of Steffanne and JPP and I am determined to work on furthering my career options. I am also buying my 1st home with my partner and our son in the next couple days. I will finally have something to call my home. Thank you JPP for letting me see the potential I really did have and giving me the motivation to act on it!!!
Congratulations Danielle on making such big moves this year!

Amy Bettis has made moves this year!
I’m so grateful for JPP they have been so supportive of me in the ups and downs of life. My life has changed drastically this year from having a small business to a career in Peer Support! We are looking to be first time homeowners here soon, and my boys have open accounts for college tuition! Thanks to all of JPP but a shout out to Steffanne who has helped me in so many ways over the years!
Congratulations Amy Bettis on your career change, movement on buying a home, and opening college savings accounts!

Leah A.

We Celebrate Leah’s accomplishments:
Leah started a job in her field in November 2019 and received a raise at her 90 day review in February. She feels very lucky to work at a place that facilitates remote work options and schedule flexibility. Especially during these uncertain times.
Congratulations Leah on your new job and your raise!

Rhiannon L.

Rhiannon L.

Rhiannon’s educational feats continue!
Rhiannon got accepted to the Colorado School of Mines and was awarded the Transfer Scholarship. She faces the challenge of paying for school and works towards overcoming that challenge by seeking out scholarship opportunities and leaning on the support of her community (including JPP and other advocates). She has also leaned on family. Rhiannon is adjusting to the new realities of online learning by setting up consistent routines and structure at home for herself and Charlie, utilizing school workbooks and exercising daily.
Congratulations Rhiannon for finding strategies to be resilient through change!!

And a huge THANK YOU  to our amazing interns this year!!!  They have gone above and beyond and we feel so grateful to have been a part of their journey.  Thank you for all of your dedication and hard work to JPP - we will miss you very much.  Please come back and visit us!

Rachael D.

Rachael has worked hard to accomplish so much!
Rachael has been such an asset to the JPP team this year. In addition to working with families as a coach, she has created an incredible library of children's art, social/ emotions, and science activities for us to utilize in the future! We were lucky to have her co-facilitate a group for our teen girls on self-esteem and self-expression. Rachael's intelligence and hard work earned her the HRSA grant in her graduate program. She was accepted into a competitive clinical internship for next year at Denver Health where they will be so luck to have her positivity and compassion! We wish Rachael luck on her continuing journey and give gratitude for all of the gifts she has shared with us this past year! JPP will miss you!
Congratulations Rachael on your MANY accomplishments!

Maddie F.

Maddie F.

We celebrate Maddie and all of her amazing contributions to JPP!
We have been so fortunate to have Maddie on the JPP team for the past 2 years! Her hard work has helped JPP immensely as she had contributed her many talents in so many areas: organizing JPP, accomplishing LOTS of administrative tasks and most importantly by supporting families. Maddie served as a coach for families and she was a leader in organizing and running kids activities this year! In addition to supporting JPP, Maddie was a huge help to the Homeless Navigation team and jumped in to provide support wherever she was needed. Her hard work, adaptability, and perseverance have earned her Masters in Social Work and a great opportunity to work as a Caseworker for CYF! Even though JPP will miss her dearly, we are grateful to have her still in the county, working to support families in challenging situations! Maddie, we are so grateful for your immense contributions to the JPP team and we wish you luck in the beginning of what will be a long and fulfilling career!
Congratulations on your MANY accomplishments this year!
