A green light means go and that’s what veterans are known for—their ability to take action quickly no matter the challenge. The green light symbol is an easy way to unite ordinary Americans under a single banner and spread awareness of veteran unemployment.
Jefferson County shows its support for America's heroes through our Human Services Department's Veterans Employment Services, Veterans Service Office, homelessness resources, and other programs that support Veterans in many ways.
It is our hope that the campaign will ignite a national conversation and bring concrete change. We encourage you to participate by changing your porch light to green for the month of November. Our debt to our Veteran heroes can never be re-paid but our gratitude and respect must last forever.
