Jefferson County is governed by a three-member board, the Board of County Commissioners. To better get to know your county commissioners, we created series of videos in which each commissioner tells us why he or she chose to serve as county commissioner and highlights some of the great things in the county.
Our second video in the series features Commissioner Casey Tighe (YouTube). He tells us more about why he serves as a commissioner and the importance of our open space and parks.
Commissioner Tighe was re-elected to his second term in November 2016. He represents commissioner district two and currently serves as the chairman pro tem for the board and the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Authority Board.
An auditor and attorney, Tighe was audit director for the Colorado Department of Transportation where he worked for 24 years. Prior to working for CDOT, Casey practiced law in Arvada for three years. After retiring from CDOT, he was the office manager for Bayer and Carey PC, a law firm.
You can learn more about Commissioner Tighe on his commissioner web page.
