Jefferson County, CO. – At 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week will conclude with the 26th annual Courage Walk at the Jefferson County Courts and Administration Building, 100 Jefferson County Parkway. The Courage Walk is free and open to anyone in the community to show support and honor the strength and courage of crime victims, as well as those who have lost loved ones to violence.
Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. and includes a continental breakfast. The half-mile walk begins at 11:00 a.m. and ends with a brief ceremony and dove release at the Courage Garden on the south side of the courthouse. Leashed pets are welcome.
A suggested donation of $10.00 is recommended, but not required. Proceeds will be used to help maintain the Courage Garden, train victim advocate volunteers, and provide for the needs of crime victims.
