The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has announced the launch of VINE® (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) in Jefferson County. VINE is a solution, developed by Appriss Safety, that provides victims of crime with access to timely and reliable offender custody information. The VINE service is free to the public and is now available to look up incarcerated individuals in Jefferson County and register to receive updates on custody status.

Offering peace of mind, the VINE service lets victims call a toll-free number (1-888-263-8463), visit, or use the VINELink™ Mobile App to anonymously check on an offender’s custody status. Victims can also register to receive automated notifications about changes in that status via their choice of format: phone, email, or text. TTY (hearing impaired) service is also available.

VINE is currently available in more than 2,900 communities across 48 states, including Colorado. 24/7/365 support from the Appriss Customer First Center is available for callers who need help locating an offender, registering for notifications, or accessing victim services in their area. VINE notifications are available in English and Spanish, and more than 195 languages are available via live operator support.

The VINE service provides offender custody status information to over 25 million citizens nationwide, annually. In 2018, Colorado VINE users conducted over 3.1 million offender searches and received over 227,000 offender notifications.
