Chris John Cumsille, DOB: 3-2-72, appeared in the Jefferson County District Court on January 2, where he pled guilty to three felony counts in the vehicular homicide death of 43-year-old Anna Huffman and her 3-year-old son Jason Huffman. On November, 13 at 7:17 a.m. Lakewood police were called to a six-car collision with multiple injuries at W. Alameda and Oak Street. Five cars were stopped at a red light when the car driven by Mr. Cumsille rear-ended one of the vehicles, causing a chain reaction which resulted in the fatal injuries to Ms. Huffman and her son. Ms. Huffman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her child was transported to the hospital and later died of his injuries.

Cumsille pled guilty to Child Abuse resulting in Death (F3); Vehicular Homicide-Reckless (F4); and Vehicular Assault (F5). He will be sentenced on February 22 at 8:30 a.m. and could potentially receive a prison sentence of up to 25 years.
