Man Sentenced to 22 Years Prison for Lakewood Stabbing

Marvin Luna-Lovo

Marvin Luna-Lovo, DOB: 10-14-89, appeared in Jefferson County District Court on December 10, 2018 where he was sentenced to prison for 22 years for stabbing 18-year-old Damian Williams.

On September 12, 2017 Williams was sitting at a bus stop near the Lakewood Police Department. He was listening to music when Luna-Lovo walked up to him, lunged at him, and stabbed him twice in the neck. Williams was trying to fight him off when a Lakewood police agent drove up. Luna-Lova ran but he was arrested minutes later.

When asked by police if he was trying to kill Williams, Luna-Lovo told them that there was no other reason why anyone would try to stab someone other than to kill him.

Luna-Lovo was previously deported to El Salvador.

On October 4, 2018 he pled guilty to Attempted Second Degree Murder.
