[ARCHIVED] Jefferson County Finds a Way to Hire Social Workers Faster

Staff retention in child welfare is difficult at best, with some organizations reporting a 90% annual turnover rate. Therefore, hiring and retention procedures become critical to meeting the needs of kids and families. One Casey initiative is helping public agencies meet workforce challenges, create effective hiring practices, and improve employee engagement. In Colorado, Jefferson County’s Division of Children, Youth, Families and Adult Protection shrunk its hiring window from 72 days to just 27 by implementing new protocols.
