Jasmine Nicole Martinez, DOB: 11-28-94, appeared in Jefferson County Court where she was sentenced to 10 years in prison for her role an aggravated robbery at the American Motel in Wheat Ridge.
On November 10, 2017, just before midnight, Wheat Ridge police were called to the American Motel at 10101 W. 170 Frontage Road on a report of a disturbance and possible gunshots.
According to the arrest affidavit, Jasmine Martinez and codefendant Jemelle Adams knocked at the door to room 504, giving false names and asking to be admitted. The two women inside the room, Deanna Rodrock and Eileen Sanchez, did not know them and refused to open the door. Jemelle Adams, armed with a handgun, then broke through the door and demanded “pills and money”. Jasmine Martinez, also entered the room, brandishing a weapon. Both Rodrock and Sanchez were assaulted. When Deanna was struck, her two dogs became aggressive and one bit at Mr. Adams’ leg. Adams shot the dog. Adams and Martinez then took items from the room and left.
Martinez pled guilty on October 1 to Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Robbery(F3).
The case against Jemelle Adams in pending. He is being held at the Jefferson County jail on $250,000 bond.
