On September 11, 2017, at 9:00 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to 37484 Parsons Road in unincorporated Jefferson County to investigate a possible assault and kidnapping. The victim had gone to Sichting’s house to collect some of his personal items. He had lived with Sichting until September 5. During the time of his imprisonment, the victim’s clothing was pulled off his body. Eventually, when the container door opened for what the victim believed would be further assault, clad only in boxer shorts and socks, he was able to push through and run to a neighbor’s house to call 911.
