On Sunday, Nov. 11, 1970, residents found a body in a ditch in the 4900 block of South Wadsworth Boulevard. The body was identified as 46-year-old Hollis “Jim” Corriveau Sr. Corriveau was last seen at about 8 p.m. on the evening of November 10, 1970, when he left the motel he owned and lived in, the Shangra-La at 2145 S. Santa Fe Dr., to go to a federal auction.
Corriveau was wearing a dark green suit coat, black pants, blue shirt and an orange and green tie. He was also wearing a toupee. Corriveau’s 1969 blue Ford pickup truck was located in the parking lot of the Sands Bar at 1050 W. Evans.
