On Oct. 26, 1986, two fishermen arrived on the west side of Chatfield State Park near South Wadsworth Boulevard to go fishing. Their dog located a body partially covered with brush. Investigation determined the body was that of 24-year-old Judy Pillman, who had been shot.
She was last seen on the evening of Oct. 16, 1986, when she was dropped off near Colfax and Corona streets in Denver for an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, which she didn’t attend. Pillman was wearing a black leather coat, a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. She may have had a brown suitcase and a black radio with her. Pillman, who worked for Kayman T-shirts, had been living with a brother at the Arnold Apartments located at 1235 Washington St. in Denver.
