JeffCo Investigating Homicide

At 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 1, Jefferson County deputies were dispatched to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 11300 block of W Maplewood Drive. The vehicle – a white Ford Explorer unfamiliar to the neighborhood – was first noticed in the morning and residents grew concerned when the vehicle had not moved in several hours. Upon closer inspection, the residents realized a male was inside the vehicle and was unresponsive, prompting them to call 911. When deputies arrived, they discovered the male was deceased. The male was identified as Samuel Addison Stewart (07/02/1990). His death is being investigated as a homicide.

No suspects have been identified at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Investigators do not believe a threat to the public exists.
