Jefferson County, CO. – A man is in custody in the Jefferson County Jail, charged with crimes related to human trafficking. 39-year-old Roman Bear Rivera is being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond for Human Trafficking – Felony Sexual Servitude and Felony Pimping. He was arrested on October 19, with assistance from Denver Police. This is the second human trafficking case in Jefferson County in the past few months.
In July, the JCSO Special Investigations Unit was working in conjunction with the FBI on Operation Cross Country, to recover children who are being trafficked throughout the U.S. In the recent case in Jeffco, the victim was an adult female living in a hotel in Lakewood.
