At 5:20 p.m. today, September 30, 2023, inmate Jeremy Buchanan (DOB 6/15/81) escaped from the Jefferson County Detention Facility.
Buchanan was booked into jail on June 2, 2023, for charges of 1st Degree Motor Vehicle Theft; Violation of Protection Order (3 counts); Violation of Parole; Possession of a Controlled Substance; Failure to Appear for each of the following: Possession of a Controlled Substance, Dangerous Drugs, and a Traffic Offense; Resisting Arrest; and Obstructing a Peace Officer.
Buchanan was homeless and living in Denver when he was booked into jail. His mugshot is attached, along with a surveillance image from today (no facial hair). Multiple jurisdictions are participating in the search for Buchanan. If he is seen or his whereabouts are known, please call 9-1-1.
