Short-Term Rental Regulation Updates Coming to Jeffco

Jefferson County Planning & Zoning is working on an update to its Short-Term Rental Regulations to streamline the review process, and to reduce noncompliance. In order to adequately update the regulations to meet the needs of the Jeffco community, Planning & Zoning will be holding community meetings. A draft of the regulations will be published for community review once the community meetings have taken place.

Community Meetings:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 16 - virtual at 6 p.m.
    - Join the meeting from our Calendar Event
  • Wednesday, Aug. 30 - in person at 6 p.m.
    - Hearing Room One, 100 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, CO 80419
  • Tuesday, Sept. 12 - virtual at 3 p.m.
    - Join the meeting from our Calendar Event

A Short-Term Rental is currently defined in the Jefferson County Zoning Resolution as: a single family detached dwelling or portion thereof that contains not more than 5 bedrooms, that is used for, or advertised and available for use for, accommodations or lodging of guests paying a fee or other compensation, for a period of fewer than 30 consecutive days.
