[ARCHIVED] Jefferson County has finished counting 99% of ballots

finalcount

Jefferson County has finished counting 99% of ballots.

Jeffco has a total of 302,307 ballots returned thus far. More than 95% of voters submitted their mail ballot, while fewer than 5% voted in person. The vast majority of voters used one of the county’s secure, 24-hour drop boxes - Jeffco increased the number of boxes from 15 to 36 in recent years. A record 92,000 voters turned in their ballots on Election Day, beating the previous record of 73,000 set in 2018. The only ballots that remain to be counted are ones from military and overseas voters or ballot cures, both of which can come in up to 8 days after the election.

Once the counting process is finished next week, Jeffco will participate in a statewide audit to ensure the accuracy of all results.
