The Center for Digital Government recently honored the Jefferson County Motor Vehicle division with a national Government Experience Award for the office's online chat.
The Jeffco DMV recently expanded its online chat function to serve more constituents and do so around the clock - even when offices are closed. In addition to having live employees assist DMV customers in real time during business hours, Jeffco now has an AI-powered chatbot as well. The multi-pronged approach has made the office far more accessible to constituents, and also increases efficiency - a win-win for taxpayers.
This is the second national award for the Jefferson County DMV this year, and the fourth award for the Clerk and Recorder's office in the last few years. See more about the office's national recognition.
