Jefferson County Planning & Zoning is planning a virtual community meeting on Tuesday, June 28 at 6 p.m. to discuss proposed wildfire regulation updates pertaining to drought resistant plantings and maintenance, wildfire hazard overlay district, modifications to the driveway and private street and road standards, and defensible space permits.
These updates are part of a multi-phased process of changes to county regulations regarding wildfire. Additional changes will be proposed with future phases as the county updates its Community Wildfire Protection Plan and works with subject matter experts on Defensible Space standards.
In this meeting, the applicant will present their case, followed by a brief staff presentation about the county processes involved. These presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer session. See the Community Meetings page on the Planning and Zoning website for all the details of the meeting.
