Man found guilty of sexual assault on a child at ARC Thrift Store

(Golden, CO – May 13, 2021) A Jefferson County jury found Ronn Gregory Wyman, DOB 1/7/1959, guilty of sexually assaulting a child, age 11, at the ARC Thrift store in Arvada on January 12, 2020.

On January 12, 2020, Arvada police were called to the ARC Thrift store, located at 9661 W 58th Ave, on a report of a sexual assault. A frantic mother called the police after her 11-year-old daughter reported that a male had grabbed her buttocks inside the store. The mother notified police that she had chased the male out of the store and managed to physically block him from driving away.

When police arrived, the child reported that while she was looking at merchandise, a male later identified as Ronn Gregory Wyman, walked by her and grabbed her buttocks, using his full hand. The victim also reported, and surveillance footage corroborated, that Wyman had been circling her and making eye contact prior to grabbing her.

On May 12, 2021, a jury convicted Wyman of Sexual Assault on a Child – Victim Less Than 15 (F4).

At the filing of charges, prosecutors learned that Wyman has an extensive criminal history, to include sexual offenses against children. Prosecutors added three habitual criminal charges for felonies committed in Denver and California including Indecent Exposure, Attempted Kidnapping, and Second Degree Murder. The habitual phase is scheduled for June 7, 2021 followed by sentencing on July 1, 2021.
