[ARCHIVED] Jeffco Development and Transportation In-Person Services Closed

County News

Several divisions under Jeffco’s Development and Transportation department are closing in-person appointments and services due to the increase in the community spread of COVID-19. The safety and well-being of our visitors and our employees is our first priority.  In order to continue serving the community, staff are working remotely to provide online and virtual services. 

Building Safety

Building Safety’s front office will not be offering appointments for in-person services such as over-the-counter plan review.  Please visit, Building Safety’s web page for permit applications, digital plan reviews, field inspection information and links to our contractor portal to submit your permits. If you have questions, please call 303-271-8260 to speak to a staff member. 

Planning and Zoning

See below and visit Planning and Zoning’s web page for information on online services:  

  • General inquires: email us or use our online form
  • Virtual appointments with staff: book an appointment online or call us at 303-271-8700
  • Application documents: Applications, Forms and Guides web page
  • To submit land disturbance permits, floodplain permits, minor adjustments, pre-applications: visit our online portal
  • To submit applications for other permits: email us
  • Sign pick-up: Please schedule an appointment and pre-pay any applicable fees online at on our online portal
  • Electronic documents are strongly encouraged for fastest service. There is also a drop box located just outside the Planning & Zoning office. Please note, providing physical documents instead of electronic documents will cause a delay in service.
  • Checks and other sensitive documents should be mailed for security reasons:
