(Golden, CO – September 17, 2020) Charges have been filed accusing four additional codefendants in the shooting death of 17-year-old Nimijah Pimental in Wheat Ridge in April, 2020. Two adults, Sincere Mario Trujillo, DOB: 2-27-02, and Esteban Ryan Lucero, DOB: 7-28-01, have each been charged with fourteen counts including First Degree Murder. A juvenile male and a juvenile female have also been charged with multiple counts, including First Degree Murder. The juveniles still face the possibility of being charged as adults.
The fifth codefendant, Julian Santos Campos, 17, DOB: 7-8-03, was arrested on April 17, 2020. He was charged, as an adult, with 14 counts, including First Degree Murder. He is due back in court on October 20, 2020 for a transfer hearing.
On April 13, 2020 Wheat Ridge police were called to the area of Panorama Park at 33rd Avenue and Chase Street. According to the arrest affidavit, they found Nimijah Pimental, 17, on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot would. He was non-responsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
On September 9. 2020, the Wheat Ridge Police Department led an operation that resulted in the arrest of Trujillo, Lucero, and the juvenile male and female.

Sincere Trujillo was advised of the charges filed against him on September 16, 2020. His preliminary hearing is set for October 9, 2020.

Esteban Lucero was advised of the charges filed against him on September 16, 2020. His preliminary hearing is set for November 10, 2020.
The juvenile male and juvenile female were advised of the charges filed against them on September 14, 2020.
All five codefendants are being held without bond.
The filing of a criminal charge is merely a formal accusation that an individual has committed a crime(s). A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. See Colo. RPC 3.6
