Founded to incubate and promote innovative programming for all families, Jeffco Human Services Foundation (JHSF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency complementing Jefferson County Human Services with a mission to end generational poverty in Jefferson County and reduce the dependency on government benefits.
Help support the work of JHSF by attending the virtual celebration on October 22nd from 5:30pm - 7pm or participate in the Month of Giving throughout October. The virtual event will feature musical performances, a virtual silent auction, and special guests.
The foundation was started in 2017, and steps outside typical government services with vision and innovation, fully supported by the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners and a diverse Board of Directors.
One of the programs directly impacted by JHSF is Jeffco Prosperity Partners (JPP), whose transformative change model is used to combat generational poverty and move low-income families to self-defined success. The program focuses both on parents and children through a multi-generation approach.
Through the foundation, Jefferson County engages with many community leaders, businesses, social sector agencies, schools, faith community, nonprofit organizations, and all who are interested in building a thriving community. Individual organizations, such as The Action Center, Power of Partnership, Family Tree, and many others help support families encountering complex issues on the path to prosperity.
