With all the changes with COVID-19 we want to keep our community aware of what to expect and how to access our Community Assistance programs and services. Effective March 16, 2020, Jefferson County offices are closed to the public. A drop box remains available outside the front doors of the Human Services Building for paper application submission.
We continue to work hard to serve our community. We have added staff to our phone systems, you may reach us at 303-271-1388 or online at Colorado Program Eligibility and Application Kit (PEAK).
If you want to apply, redetermine benefits, or submit verification for public assistance programs, please submit information online at Colorado Program Eligibility and Application Kit (PEAK). PEAK can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Programs available through PEAK include:
Employment First customers can submit all documents electronically via email, directly to their Career Specialist. If they are unsure who that is, it can be sent to Tammy Cosper. Another option is to send an email or fax documents to 303-271-4060.
Existing CCAP customers can submit documents via email directly to their worker or by fax to 303-271-4447. Customers can also contact staff and/or submit documents through the main email address.
CCCAP Providers can submit all documents electronically via email, directly to their Accounting Technician or by fax to 303-271-4765.
Colorado Works customers can submit all documents electronically via email, directly to their Career and Family Coordinator. If they are unsure who that is, it can be emailed.

Anyone can connect to PEAK 24 hours a day, seven days a week via internet on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. PEAK is safe and secure, which means your information is protected. You may also Google “Colorado PEAK” to reach the site.
The MyCoBenefits app is available through the Apple and Android app stores. The app makes it easier to report changes, upload important documents using the mobile device camera, check EBT balances and review transactions and expenses.
The PEAKHealth smartphone app is available for current Medicaid and CHP+ members who have a PEAK account.
The first time you use PEAK, use a valid email address to create a PEAK account so you can save your application and finish it later, track your application status and use other online tools. Older residents who may be at higher risk from COVID-19 based on their age may be particularly interested in applying and managing benefits online.
