To take advantage of warmer temperatures, the W. Quincy Avenue and S. Simms Street intersection will be closed to traffic on Sunday, November 24 (instead of Monday as originally planned) as American Civil Constructors, LLC (ACC) crews perform paving activities. The closure will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until paving is complete.

This will be the final full closure for Phase I of the W. Quincy Avenue (S. Swadley Court to S. Simms Street) project, but drivers should expect minor traffic holds through November as crews finalize striping and signage. There will be no work activities between Thursday, November 28 through Sunday, December 1 in observance of Thanksgiving.
