Transportation & Construction GIRL Day

Transportation and Construction Girl is committed to expanding career opportunities for young women, supporting equity for young women, enhancing young women’s self-esteem and helping to meet the workforce shortage in construction.

September 28th starts with fun and cool exhibits from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.  

Exhibits will include: heavy equipment like excavators, cranes, scissor lifts, flight simulator, ex­cavator simulator, heavy equipment operator simulator, welding ex­hibit, survey equipment, drones, computer traffic programs, paint simulator, masonry demo, solar panel installation and more. 

Attendance for girls is free.  However, they must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or school representative.  Schools that want to bring a group should email the event promoter.

Everyone who wants to attend MUST register at the Transportation and Construction GIRL Day website.
