Project Scope:
The McIntyre Street Roadway Improvements Project, fourth and final phase, will reconstruct McIntyre Street between W. 52nd Avenue and W. 56th Place. Roadway improvements will include:
Widening of the road to four 11-foot travel lanes with raised center medians- Storm drainage improvements
- 4-foot bike lanes
- 8-foot sidewalks
- Reconstruction of the traffic signal at W. 54th Avenue. New traffic signal poles will be installed on the east side of the intersection.
- Relocation of North Table Mountain Water and Sanitation District water main
Project Update (as of September 1, 2021):
The general contractor, Edge Contracting (Edge), completed punch list (corrective work) items and fully demobilized from the site. Closeout continues and the project should be placed on warranty within the next few weeks.
Completion of this phase of McIntyre Street construction (between W. 52nd Avenue and W. 56th Place) finishes all roadway improvements projects of the McIntyre Street corridor between State Highway 58 and W. 60th Avenue. Please note that a separate traffic signal replacement project for the W. 44th Avenue and McIntyre Street intersection is scheduled for late this year.
