[ARCHIVED] W. Chatfield Avenue Landscape & Irrigation (S. Pierce Street to S. Kendall Boulevard)

The original item was published from September 19, 2017 2:13 PM to January 4, 2019 12:20 PM

Jefferson County hired CDI Environmental to install irrigation and landscaping on the north side of Chatfield Avenue.  CDI Environmental crews have begun trenching and installation of the mainline irrigation system.  Drip irrigation lines, zones and testing will continue for the next two weeks.  A trailside shelter will also be constructed along the eastern portion of the sidewalk.  Crews will place decorative boulders, amend the soil, then plant shrubs and trees in October.  Irrigated turf grass and more native seeding will be included.  CDI will then provide maintenance services for a period of two years before turning over the operations to Jefferson County.

Project Update (as of November 29, 2018):
  • CDI Environmental crews completed installation of all landscape plants and trees, as well as a new trail side bench, by November 10, 2018.
  • Final punch list items are being completed through the end of November to finish the construction phase.
  • The 2-year landscape maintenance and mowing services will continue through November 2021, after which Jefferson County will take over these activities.
Thank you for your patience while this project was constructed.
