Project Background:
Jefferson County will replace an existing culvert located just east of Red Deer Drive on West Belleview Avenue. This pipe replacement is to address degrading infrastructure and prevent failure of the pipe and roadway.
Project Scope:
The project entails replacing an existing corrugated metal pipe located within the public roadway with new reinforced concrete pipe. This process will involve removal of the roadway, excavation, pipe removal, pipe installation, and roadway repairs. The project will also restore the eroded roadside ditch at this crossing.
This project received American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. For more information, please visit the county's ARPA website.
Project Schedule:
The project is currently under design. Construction for this culvert is anticipated to take place in fall / winter 2023.
Project Impact on Traffic:
The contractor will be required to provide a travel lane during operations. All residential access will be maintained during construction.
Jefferson County will provide an updated notice of traffic impacts before construction activities begin.
