Project Background:
There is section of storm sewer pipe under JC-73 that failed and caused a minor sinkhole. A steel plate was installed on the road over the failure location. This section of storm sewer needs to be replaced and the road surface repaired.
Project Schedule:
Construction concluded on December 20, 2022. Seeding of the site will occur in the spring of 2023 to re-establish any disturbed project areas. The intersection will be milled and repaved in the summer of 2023 by Jefferson County Road and Bridge Division.
Project Impact on Traffic:
There will be no traffic impacts, because the remaining work will occur outside of the roadway. Please be aware of any construction vehicles entering or leaving the job site.
