Project Scope:

Construction crews will replace the existing span wire traffic signal system with mast arm traffic signals. They will also repair concrete, and complete final asphalt mill and overlay with striping.

The project has been awarded to Goodland Construction in the amount of $913,215.75.

Project Update (as of December 14, 2022):

Jefferson County's contractor, Goodland Construction, finished the new concrete work and traffic signal system replacement December 9, 2022. Work will be temporarily suspended during the winter months. Crews will return to finish the intersection improvements in the spring 2023.

Remaining work includes: milling the asphalt surface, paving a two-inch asphalt overlay, and completing the final lane striping and pedestrian crosswalks. A new crosswalk will also be opened on the north end of the intersection, immediately south of the railroad tracks.

News of the anticipated dates of the work re-start will be posted in May 2023. Thank you for your patience during this construction!
