If you need a little help finding your next job, the Jefferson County Business & Workforce Center has your back. In their Survive and Thrive: Accelerating Your Job Search Workshop, you'll learn all the tips and tricks to land that next gig.

Beginning on Wednesday, July 13 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., the 5-week course will kick off, each week focusing on a different aspect of the job search. Take a look at the course schedule:

  • July 13: Letting Go & Moving On - Discover what's holding you back and explore new possibilities.
  • July 20: Job Search Techniques - Explore new techniques for finding your best opportunity.
  • July 27: Landing the Interview - Recognize the power of a targeted resume and cover letter.
  • August 3: Set the Scene for Success - Learn how to ace the interview, whether it's by phone, in-person or by Zoom.
  • August 10: Get Our of Your Own Way - Recognize the power of resiliency and begin to make things happen.

Career transition can be a daunting task to overcome; to include resumes, social media, marketing statements, and virtual interviews. We want to assist you in getting back into the workforce and overcome today’s challenges effectively. We will be exploring alternative ways to identify opportunities of employment, and ways to increase networks.
