Jefferson County S. Kipling Parkway Roadway Improvement Project, Littleton, CO 80127

Project Overview:
Link to see South Kipling Parkway Improvements Project Site MapJefferson County South Kipling Parkway Improvement project consists of advancing the design, as previously proposed by a consultant and determined feasible by the county, to preliminary and final design plans.

There are two locations being advanced to construction. The first intersection being improved is located at the intersection of S. Kipling Parkway and W. Bowles Avenue. The total project limits extend from approximately north of W. Fair Avenue intersection to north of S. Jellison Circle. Improvements on W. Bowles Avenue are limited to the intersection improvements only. The concept identified providing six through lanes for S. Kipling Parkway, adding new traffic signals, and improving pedestrian curb ramps and refuge islands.

The second intersection to be improved is at the intersection of S. Kipling Parkway and W. Fair Avenue. Improvements include adding new traffic signals, optimizing the left turn storage by improving the striping on W. Fair Avenue, and improving pedestrian curb ramps and refuge islands.

The intersections are currently being designed by a consultant team and are in the preliminary design phase. The preliminary design plans can be reviewed under the “Project Documents” section above. The overall project schedule is being determined by Jefferson County and will be updated once the design reaches final design. 

Tentatively, the intersection of S. Kipling Parkway and W. Fair Avenue is scheduled for construction in 2021 and the intersection of S.Kipling Parkway and W. Bowles Avenue is scheduled for construction in 2022.
