Jefferson County S. Kipling Parkway Roadway Improvement Project, Littleton, CO 80127

Project Overview:

Jefferson County South Kipling Parkway Improvement project consists of advancing the design, as previously proposed by a consultant and determined feasible by the county, to preliminary and final design plans.

Two locations are being advanced to construction. The first intersection is S. Kipling Parkway and W. Bowles Avenue. The total project limits extend from approximately north of W. Fair Avenue intersection to north of S. Jellison Circle. Improvements on W. Bowles Avenue are limited to the intersection only. The concept identified providing six through lanes for S. Kipling Parkway, adding new traffic signals, and improving pedestrian curb ramps and refuge islands. 

The second intersection to be improved is S. Kipling Parkway and W. Fair Avenue. Improvements include adding new traffic signals, optimizing the left turn storage by improving the striping on W. Fair Avenue, and improving pedestrian curb ramps and refuge islands.

Design exhibits for both intersections can be reviewed under the above "Project Documents" section. 

Design plans for the S. Kipling Parkway and W. Fair Avenue intersection were advertised for construction in the summer of 2021. Construction is anticipated to start winter of 2021 and be completed by spring 2022.

S. Kipling Parkway and W. Bowles Avenue is currently being designed by a consultant team and is in the final design phase. The project is anticipated to be awarded to a contractor in March 2022 and to begin construction in April 2022. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2022.
