Jefferson County contracted American Civil Constructors (ACC) to build a retaining wall, curb, gutter, and sidewalk on the north side of W. Quincy Avenue from S. Beech Way to S. Youngfield Street. This will be the second phase of the Quincy Avenue Corridor Improvements from S. Eldridge Street to S. Simms Street to widen the road to an arterial standard.
Project Update (as of March 15, 2021):
Jefferson County’s contractor, ACC Mountain West, completed the Phase 2A portion of this Quincy corridor improvement project by finishing the block wall installation, concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk. Crews will be completing punch list repairs, placing top soil, grass seed, and blankets prior to demobilization.

During the week of April 19, Jefferson County forces will pave the dirt shoulder on the north side of Quincy Avenue from Beech Way to Youngfield Street. This will be an interim measure to improve site drainage until the Phase 2 Road Widening project begins in early 2022.
Please be aware this will be a paved shoulder only. It is not intended as a travel lane and parking is not allowed.
Thank you for your patience during this phase of construction. If you have questions, please feel free to
