Jefferson County contracted American Civil Constructors (ACC) to build a retaining wall, curb, gutter, and sidewalk on the north side of W. Quincy Avenue from S. Beech Way to S. Youngfield Street. This will be the second phase of the Quincy Avenue Corridor Improvements from S. Eldridge Street to S. Simms Street to widen the road to an arterial standard.

Crews have been excavating the hillside north of Quincy Avenue to construct the two tiered block wall system. Trucks are hauling material to a fill site within the Fehringer Ranch Disc Golf Course for management.
