Commissioners Visit Foothills Animal Shelter

The shelter serves Jefferson County and is driven to make lives better for animals and people in our county. Though education, services that strengthen and the human-pet bond and humane care for the animals they are continually evolving to look and work towards the future and ensure the needs are thoughtfully addressed.

Jefferson County Welcomes Colorado Commissioners

(CCI) Winter Conference, December 12-14, 2022. The conference, one of two each year, is being held at the Westin Westminster for the first time in conference history. At the conference, county elected officials, representing over 350 decision makers, come together to receive training and education programs for better county management and understanding of county issues.

Commissioner Kerr Attends Ribbon Cutting for Crocodile Creek Stairway

Attendees cut a ceremonial ribbon for the Crocodile Creek Stairway at Dinosaur RidgeAfter seven years of planning and fundraising, the Crocodile Creek Stairway & Viewing Platform is open.

Commissioner Kerr along with Gene MacDonald, GLM Design; Dana Rinderknecht, Dinosaur Ridge Development Director; Dana Manyothane, Scientific Cultural and Facilities District; Marsha Barber, Dinosaur Ridge Board Chair; and Jeff Lamontagne, Dinosaur Ridge Executive Director officially cut the ribbon to celebrate the opening on December 12, 2022. The viewing deck will allow the public to see more high-quality and stunning dinosaur tracks.
