Her senior class missed out on prom. Then on graduation. Now, as Lola Peregoy, an Edgewater resident and Lakewood High School graduate, has started her freshman year at the University of Colorado Boulder, she’s had to adapt to a whole new set of educational and social challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lola, who also works for Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) as a youth leader, sat down with JCPH’s Nikki Work over Zoom to talk more about the challenges of being a young person in the age of social distancing and her advice to those who are feeling the fatigue of isolation.
