McIntyre Street Phase II (West 52nd Avenue to 60th Avenue)

The McIntyre Street roadway improvements project is in the second phase of construction, between W. 56th Place and W. 58th Avenue.  The project start date was July 11, 2018.  The anticipated duration of the project is 14 months (through October 2019).

Final roadway striping will occur Saturday, September 21.  The contractor will complete improvements in the Van Bibber Creek drainage channel and final landscape restoration throughout the construction zone the remainder of this month.  The contractor will also be finishing any other punch list items the remainder of this month and early next month.  Lane closures can be expected as the contractor finishes work.

W. 50th Avenue Sidewalk (McIntyre Street to Fairmount Elementary School)

Jefferson County was awarded a Safe Routes to School infrastructure grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation to construct an 8 to 10-foot multi-use paved path from McIntyre Street to the entrance of Fairmount Elementary School. 

The project requires changing the road profile of W. 50th Avenue to address drainage. Instead of doing roadwork the same time as the sidewalk, Road and Bridge (R&B) Division is doing it now. This means that R&B will be in the neighborhood July 26 through Aug 2 removing old pavement and installing new asphalt.
